PostSubject: Off topic - Ron's new Caravan   Tue May 24, 2011 8:20 pm

Hi guys,

Most of you have probably not seen Australian Caravans.
Some of us older "Grey Nomads", love caravanning around Australia.
Given the country is the size of the USA, it takes a long time to do it and a lot of roads are sub standard, to say the least.

As you have already seen, I have a vintage caravan that I tow behind the Jaguar 420G, well this one is brand new, and travels behind the Land Rover Discovery V8.

The caravan is made locally, 40 km up the road from me, and is probably one of the best on the market.
It has an inside length of 20.5 ft, outside, tow coupling to spare wheel is 28 ft.

Inside, it has a queen size bed,

cafe dining, large two door fridge,

washing machine, shower big enough for two, plus a toilet.

Fortunately, both vans fit on the front slab.

Under the caravan, it is made for tough off road conditions.

The wood inside is Cedar and the upholstery, leather Very Happy , Just like Jaguars Laughing

Cheers,
Ron

Did you have it built to your own spec or is that how they come Question

Also Ron nothing is off topic in the lounge Wink

Thanks for sharing, a real eye opener to what serious caravaners have in
