Next "Jaguar related" question.

It is not likely the most known fact of the Lyons family but they did have a boat which they enjoyed during family leisure times.

What was the very clever name of the Lyons family boat?[i]

And with that, I am off.
Just as if it was a birthday present from mother nature to me, it is 16 degrees here in Toronto today and as it is my birthday my registration expires today at midnight.

Therefore it is a summer like day, I have a convertible Jaguar ready and waiting, and only a few glorious hours to drive it before the winter like weather returns!

Can't you see that? It is truly a gift.

So then, off I go happy birthday to me!

Any guess's as the the name of the boat?
You will get such a kick out of this one, I sure did.

No trouble, I shall post the answer Friday and we will all marvel at the cleverness of Sir William for naming things.

Then we will all shake our heads in wonder thinking "Really now, with that kind of clever wit why on earth could better more imaginative names not be thought up for the cars"???

OH NO!!

One yes and one no!!

I actually thought of Thursday as a compromise maybe that's the answer.

Other hand there's good old pedantic discipline.

Tie breaker anyone?

OK then, off to buy a new license validation for the MK 10.

OK

Enough torture

Enough intrigue

I shall reveal the brilliant name of the Lyons boat now.......

“Sea Type”

There didn’t I tell you it was brilliant?
Now why on earth did we have to suffer with those unimaginative names that painted no mental picture at all of the magnificent cars that were and are Jaguar?

sorry for the delay folks, a bit of minor flu symptoms yesterday. Bed and bath was the order of the day, if you know what I mean.

I have them next question but I need to make sure of the details, so by the end of the working day our time I should see you with another.

8AM here and off to work.

OK here it is,

When Norman Dewis was testing the MK 10 in disguise there was a breakdown in a small place in France.
The Frenchman repaired the car and charged a fee that will leave you astounded.

Do you know how much it cost to repair the MK 10 in GBP if you please.

Extra points if you can tell what went wrong.

OK then, there off and the gates are open!!!
This story has been well published so it should be impossible to find.
See yah by Friday if not before..

Duane,

I'll have first go:

Car 5437 RW Blew the engine after 37,000 Miles

The piston fractured and damaged the liner.

The car was at a garage at Bayonne which did not have the equipment
so a marine engineer in Biarritz, who had old fashioned
equipment did the job.

The work took 36hrs cost £5.00

Now wheres that table Wink
