Just scanning through the site last night and a thought occurred. I knew I had the pic of the MK10 outside Sir Williams home and figured it would be a RW reg.

I guess it was an early MK10 and if the launch date was '61 then the demolished E type 5600 RW was a very early one indeed I would hazard a guess a say one of the first batch.- I wonder if any of the more knowledgable here knew which chassis number?

Oh and whilst on E types - obviously 77RW is quite well known Very Happy

Just noticed the update from Clive on the MK10's prototype and of course the RW Reg No's

Norman would take 2 MarkXs, a Mk11 and two mechanics and and six drives. "I rember the registration of the two cars"

5438 RW
5437 RW

So if 6100 RW was taken outside Wappenbury Hall and 7868 RW is considered to be car number 44 and we already know 5437/8 to be development cars can we start to fill in the gaps?
