South of the River Cam , Anglesey Abbey and Garden is run by the National Trust. The house dates from 1600 and is on the site of a 12th century prior. The gardens are beautiful and well worth a visit.

Leaving at 10.30 we will head east towards Newmarket and explore some of the quaint villages around that area before heading back over the A14. At Chippenham you can look out for the action taking place at the unique Wild Tracks Activity Centre. Heading out into more open fenland we will eventually arrive at the Prickwillow Drainage museum at approximately 11.30. Here you can see the a variety of large and small drainage engines; play with the interactive exhibits; have a hot drink or just chat with others in the large car park.
At approximately, 12.30 we will then head off through the historic city of Ely and then once again out onto small fenland roads before arriving in having Sutton via a drive round winding fenland roads.

It offers a varied natural habitat interlaced with a network of over two miles of paths and lakes to explore. There is play area for children, a sensory garden.
